Still Searching for a Topic
Social interactions have always been something that I’ve paid lots of attention to. In our everyday lives, be it face to face or on a television screen, we watch drama unfold. Some may think its entertainment; some may look at it as though it is ridiculous. I want to know why these things happen. How do people build friendships? How do friendships grow? Why do some friendships suffer? Why do people go apart from each other? I want to research these things and get explanations as to why these things happen. I want full in depth answers. Not just were “friends cause we know each other” answers. I want to read scholarly articles and interview people and get some other thoughts and opinions about the topic. Right now the concept of my research paper still seems fuzzy but I think once I start researching I’ll get more ideas.

Chemists and researchers have found that nitrate ions and halide ions coexist within aged sea salt particles. Reactions were carried out with the molecules which were deposited on the walls inside of a teflon cave. The irradiated NaBr/NaNO3 mixtures showed and increase in the production of nitrate and bromide ions as the mole fraction of the bromide increased. Further investigation showed that KBr/KNO3 mixtures did not have the same outcome, the rates of production of NO2 and Br2 remained constant. This article explores how the presence of halides may be crucial for the production of nitrogen oxides.

After Reading the Matt Richtel Article...
Matt's article demonstrates how technology plays a major role in our everyday lives. Technology is advancing everyday and we are determined to never fall behind its advancements. Multiple web tabs, cell phones, PDAs, Ipads, televisions, games, and computers alike occupy on average 12 hours of our life on a given day. In part I can relate to this (but not anymore since we didnt pay our internet bill in months). I think we can all agree that multitasking can be helpful and hurtful at the same time. I mean sure you get multiple things done at one, but at the cost of not giving full energy or attention to individuals tasks. As shown from the article technology is indeed changing the way that we act, think and operate and you dont need to understand neuroscience in order to notice this.As we become more dependent on technology we are helping and hurting ourselves at the same time. Children should stay away from technology!!! They should stay away from all types of technology!!!
